Accra Girls’ SHS Students Represent Ghana at International Olympiad on Artificial Intelligence in Kazakhstan
Accra Girls’ Senior High School is proud to celebrate the outstanding achievement of two of its students who represented Ghana at the recent International Olympiad on Artificial Intelligence (IOAI) held in Astana, Kazakhstan.

The competition took place from 2nd to 8th August 2026, bringing together talented young students from around the world to compete and demonstrate their knowledge and skills in the rapidly developing field of Artificial Intelligence.
Two students from Accra Girls’ Senior High School, together with two students from Presbyterian Boys’ Secondary School (PRESEC), proudly represented Ghana at the international competition.
The participation of the Ghanaian team was particularly significant, with 100 countries from across the world taking part in the Olympiad. Competing on such a global platform provided the students with an invaluable opportunity to test their abilities alongside some of the brightest young minds in Artificial Intelligence from different countries.
For Accra Girls’ SHS, the achievement reflects the school’s commitment to encouraging students to pursue excellence in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) and to develop the skills needed to thrive in an increasingly technology-driven world.
The school is especially proud of the two young ladies who represented both Accra Girls’ SHS and Ghana on this international stage. Their participation serves as an inspiration to other students and demonstrates that Ghanaian girls can compete confidently and excel in emerging fields such as Artificial Intelligence.
We congratulate our students and the entire Ghanaian team on this remarkable achievement and commend them for carrying the name of Accra Girls’ Senior High School and Ghana onto the international stage.
Congratulations to our girls!
