Accra Girls Headmistress Receives Pride Recognition Award as Regimental Band Joins Republic Day Celebration

Accra Girls Senior High School (AGISS) has once again received recognition for its contribution to education and national development, with the School’s Headmistress, Mrs. Gifty Andoh, receiving a prestigious Pride Recognition Award from Her Excellency the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana.

The recognition celebrates Mrs. Andoh’s contribution to education and leadership, and adds to a growing list of honours and achievements associated with the leadership and development of Accra Girls Senior High School.

The Pride Recognition Award is a significant honour for the Headmistress and the entire AGISS community. It reflects the value placed on the dedication and service of individuals who contribute meaningfully to the development of Ghana, particularly in the field of education.

Accra Girls Regimental Band at Republic Day Celebration

In another proud moment for the school, the Accra Girls Regimental Band was invited to participate in the 2026 Republic Day Celebration held on 3rd July 2026.

The invitation provided the Band with an opportunity to represent Accra Girls Senior High School at a major national celebration and to showcase the discipline, musical excellence and ceremonial skills of its members.

The participation of the Accra Girls Regimental Band further demonstrates the diverse talents and opportunities available to students at AGISS. Beyond the classroom, students continue to develop skills in music, leadership, discipline, teamwork and service to the nation.

The school community is proud of both achievements and congratulates Mrs. Gifty Andoh and the members of the Accra Girls Regimental Band for representing AGISS with distinction.
