
Accra Girls’ SHS Hosts Legacy Spark Series Technology Fair
Empowering the Next Generation through Innovation and Leadership
The campus of Accra Girls’ Senior High School came alive on Friday, July 4, 2025, as the ICT Department, in collaboration with the Legacy Spark Series, hosted its first-ever Technology Fair. The landmark event brought together students, educators, industry experts, and sister schools for a full day of learning, inspiration, and hands-on tech engagement.
Held under the theme “Empowering the Next Generation through Technology,” the fair aimed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and the digital skills required in today’s fast-paced world.
A Day of Insightful Engagement
The Technology Fair featured two high-impact sessions that sparked curiosity and future thinking among attendees:
- Relevant Skills for Today’s IT Market
Delivered by Joshua Opoku Agyemang, President of the IoT Network Hub, this session offered students practical insights into the most sought-after digital skills. He emphasized emerging fields such as Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics, Internet of Things (IoT), and Mobile App Development — areas that are reshaping the global workforce. - Panel Discussion: Raising Future-Ready Leaders
A powerful and thought-provoking panel brought together:- Jeremy Acquaah, African Intelligence Club

- Joy Tari-Bagshaw, Software Engineer & Developer Advocate
Strong Representation from Sister Schools
The fair attracted participation from five prominent sister schools:
- Accra Academy
- PRESEC – Legon
- St. Mary’s Senior High School
- St. Thomas Aquinas Senior High School
- Labone Senior High School
Students from these institutions joined AGISS students in engaging workshops, student-led exhibitions, tech demo booths, and networking sessions that encouraged collaboration, critical thinking, and knowledge exchange.

Building a Future of Tech-Ready Girls
According to the organizers, the goal of the Legacy Spark Series is to “ignite curiosity, foster leadership, and empower young minds to use technology responsibly and innovatively.” The event was not only an introduction to tech tools and trends but also a call to action for young women to take up space in the digital world as builders, leaders, and changemakers.
In her closing remarks, a representative from the ICT Department expressed gratitude to all stakeholders, partners, and participating schools, adding that “This is only the beginning. We are committed to nurturing future-ready girls who will lead with purpose in a digital world.”
